These kids were so cute. They had such a great time doing all the candid, fun, jumping on top of each other shots.

And question for my family reading this. Are we doing another disposable camera photo contest this year to be judged at Thanksgiving? If so, lets organize it. When is the deadline? How many can we post and what are this years official rules? Can we swap in our own film into the disposable cameras this year? Online judging or our own panel of judges? Will there be a different category for the kids or will our egos get squashed when we get beat by the 5 year old again? Lets chat.

I think we should have the photos be judged at christmas. There's not much time to get a shot and get it developed before thanksgiving. Especially since I have so much homework due this week.

We should leave it fairly open. Any disposable camera, any film, and any modifications - pin hole, bulb exposure, whatever - as long as it's still recognizeable as a disposable camera. I think we should also allow the CVS one time use digitals.

Photoshop should be limited corrections needed to make the scanned immage look closer to the print. (brightness / contrast and maybe some color correcting)

I'm ok with allowing any lights, reflectors, filters ect, as long as I can have access to someones lights. I'm also ok with banning them.

I'll order my disposable tomorrow if everyone's in.

oh yeah -- nice picture.

I like the rules. Yeah, lets allow the lights, that's fine.
Additional rule:
Anyone who enters the contest must Anne up a $5-10 prize for the pot (It can be something you have at home too) (Married couples can combine)
I'm In:
My contribution is $10 worth of ColdStone Ice Cream Gift Certificates.
Anyone else in? Ben, Siri, Miky, Tom Tom, Kjer, Jason, Weezy, Erik, Jonathan??

Married couples can combine only if they enter one picture. 1 entery fee per photo. Kids under 8 can enter for free.

Do I count as part of the family?

I just hacked apart my CVS one time digital video camera to have a USB port now, screw that single use nonsense. Not gonna shell out $35 to get a DVD burned from 320x240 digital capture. So yeah, my next project is going to be IR with the still digicam.

You know we actually discussed whether or not we should let you enter. We're all afraid you're going to win with a really killer photo. We're just not sure our egos can take it. But me and Josh decided a little friendly competition is a good thing. It will make us work harder so feel free to enter. You are officially an honorary family member. But if you lose to a 5 year old it will be damaging your ego trust me on this one.

We're going to open it up to anyone. My roommate wants to do it, and my brother is going to invite a few people from his work to enter, so you're more then welcome to enter. Deadline is December 23rd.

I saw your CVS digital video, so I searched and saw that they had a one time use digital camera as well as video. So since it's on in the same leage as a disposable, I think they should be allowed.

I'm interested to see the results from your IR digicam - sounds like fun.

Actually you should have me judge. Do a blind judging on the internet.

We had a webpage put together last time we did this with everyone's picture, and posted the link on a few photography message boards. I think we'll do the same this year.

I found the voting page from last year when we did.

You can check it out if you want to see the enteries from last year. I suspect the quality of the pictures this year will be a bit better than last.

I don't even remember who won last time. Was it tied between me and jonathan? His china ball shots of me and my attempt at shooting slides that big canvas sheet. I need some better ideas this time around. Actually we never did it last year. These are from 2 years ago. I think we've improved since then.
